Members of TETFund Board of Trustees led by its Chairman, Alhaji Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, were in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria at the weekend for inspection of the ongoing construction of 1000-seater International Conference Cenre, and expressed satisfaction with the progress and quality of work.
Ibrahim-Imam, who was in company of the North-West representative on the Board, Alhaji Tijjani Musa-Isa, noted that the innovative facilities provided in the design would enhance revenue generation for the University upon completion of the project.
Inspecting the project, which commenced in 2013, the Board Chairman said that TETFund would provide all the needed support for the University to complete the centre.
The Chairman, who was taken round the project by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabir Bala along with some Management staff of the University, also explained that TETFund was particularly interested in areas bordering energy, ICT, hostels and capacity building for universities to generate their own revenues.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabir Bala, commended TETFund for the various intervention projects in all the tertiary institutions in the country.
Some of the Management staff who joined the Vice-Chancellor to receive members of the Board were the Bursar, Malam Yahaya Alhaji Hassan; Ag. Director, Iya Abubakar Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IAIICT), Prof. Balarabe Junaidu Sahalu; Director, Physical Planning and Municipal Services, Engr. Muhammad Aminu Sambo; Director, Directorate of University Advancement, Prof. Ahmed D. Ibrahim and a number of personnel from the Physical Planning and Municipal Services.
